Mission
The Hoy Audubon Society/Pringle Nature Center is a
regional resource where people of all ages can
experience nature, environmental education,
conservation and stewardship.
New Developments
In 2007 a grant from Waste Management, through
Kenosha County, has allowed for the hiring of
Christine Reardon, a University of Wisconsin-Parkside
graduate, as a full time naturalist.
Because of these new funds and staffing, PNC is once
again able to provide environmental education to
school groups, youth organizations, families, youths
and adults. The PNC is open to the public, Tuesday
through Sunday from 9 AM - 4 PM.
Operations and Funding
The nature center is operated and funded by
volunteers and donors who are dedicated to making
this natural resource available to the public. These
volunteers keep the nature center building open to
the public on weekends as well as coordinate
environmental education programs for schools,
scouting groups, and the general public. We always
welcome new volunteers, please contact us for
opportunities.
The nature center building is also available for
rentals to groups interested in holding functions in
a spectacular and increasingly rare natural setting.
Board of Directors
The Pringle Nature Center Board of Directors is the
governing body for the nature center. The board
members volunteer their time on the weekends
staffing the nature center along with other
individuals. The board also meets the second Saturday
of every month at 9:00 AM for their monthly board
meeting.
